Hull City Council’s Civic One service hits top marks

The Civic One service within Streetscene at Hull City Council is proud to announce its successful attainment of the ISO 9001 certification through NQA (National Quality Assurance).

ISO 9001 is the international recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides a clear framework for organisations to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall performance.

This prestigious achievement for Civic One reflects the council’s unwavering commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.

The ISO 9001 certification encompasses several critical functions within the Civic One department, including CCTV monitoring, security, first responder, public safety out of hours, alarm monitoring, keyholder response, and emergency planning for the council’s premises and area.

Civic One is dedicated to upholding quality standards and worked collaboratively to achieve the certification for the department.

Adam McArthur, head of development, performance, and open spaces, who steered the team towards the certification said: “I am immensely proud of the team’s dedication and hard work in achieving the ISO 9001 certification.

“This achievement underscores our commitment to excellence and sets the stage for continuous growth.

“Further, this milestone reflects our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. With NQA’s support, we look forward to maintaining our high standards and delivering exceptional services to our communities.”

The ISO 9001 certification is designed for ambitious organisations that are committed to delivering quality and achieving success.

The standard improves organisational practices, meeting the needs of customers and stakeholders, by introducing a framework that drives continuous improvement.

It helps ensure that quality remains consistent in the supply of goods and services through the correct application of QMS.

The service is committed to maintaining the ISO 9001 certification through formal annual assessments by the NQA, regular audits, and continued dedication. To find out more about the ISO 9001 certification, visit ISO 9001 Certification – Quality Management Standard | NQA
