Please let us introduce the wonderful Janet and Norman, who have looked after 62 children since becoming foster carers back in 1998 and two of those children have been living with them for over 13 years.
Janet and Norman have cared for many young babies and toddlers and successfully supported them in moving onto “forever families”, including adoption or rehabilitation back to birth family members.
This is never easy to do since being the loving, family-orientated people they are, this often involves forming solid attachments with the children. However, both Janet and Norman recognise the necessity of this and are extraordinary in their openness to give of themselves in this way.
Janet and Norman have recently become ‘shared life carers’, to enable their foster child to remain with her brother who is also in their care.
We can not thank you both enough for your ongoing love, commitment and loyalty to the children you care for.
