Essential maintenance works will begin in Greenwood Avenue from Monday 15 June.
The road will be closed from Cranbrook Avenue and 8th Avenue for one week only.
The signed diversion route for motorists will be via Cranbrook Avenue, Endike Lane and Ellerburn Avenue. Bus services will also be diverted during the closure.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways at Hull City Council, said: “To carry out the works safely, a road closure will be in place.
“We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the works and ask that motorists are patient while we carry out these essential repairs.”
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Roadworks will also be taking place in Hall Road over the weekend.
