The first of three business breakfasts hosted by Hull City Council in 2025 will take place this Thursday, 13 February.
Hull Business Breakfast will enable visitors to learn more about the council’s business consultation surrounding its upcoming budget, as well as the latest on Hull and East Yorkshire’s devolution, following the formation of the Combined Authority.
Registration and breakfast will be from 8am in the reception room of Hull’s Guildhall, with a welcome from leader of the council, Cllr Mike Ross, at 8:30am.
This will be followed by a talk from David Bell, the council’s director of finance and transformation, on the budget proposals, then a devolution discussion from Alex Codd, the council’s assistant director for economic development and regeneration.
A question-and-answer session and networking will follow, with visitors offered the chance to quiz the council on the two topics.
This is first of three taking place in 2025, with the second session in June during Business Week and a third to be held in the autumn.
Cllr Ross said: “I am delighted the council is able to host another business breakfast, following on from the success of recent years.
“Hull Business Breakfast is a great chance for businesses to understand more about the short-term future for Hull and the region through the budget and devolution.
“I look forward to welcoming them once against and discuss opportunities with the business community.”
The event will take place from 8-10am on Thursday 13 February in Hull’s Guildhall on Alfred Gelder Street, with speaker sessions beginning at 8:30am.
Places should be booked in advance and are available to do so here.
