1. Michelangelo: A Different View

Hull Minster is to host a must-see exhibition of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel masterpiece. For the first time, the famous work adorning the ceiling of the chapel in the Vatican can be viewed from up close. The minster – one of just two UK venues to host the exhibition, which has already toured major European cities including Copenhagen, Prague and Amsterdam. Read more here.

Don’t miss this exhibition exploring the heritage of women in the fishing community before it leaves Hull this month. The work from award-winning photographer Craig Easton brings together three strands of the fisherwomen’s story: their heritage, their journey and contemporary portraits, including new commissions of Hull’s own fisherwomen. 4. I Am the Coyote

5. Difficult Women Of Burton Constable

Learn about the history of what some have called the “difficult women”, including the dedication of Winifred Constable, who accompanied her brother William on a grand tour to try to find a cure for his gout, to the flamboyant Rosina, second Lady Clifford Constable, who enjoyed the freedom and financial independence brought by widowhood – and sacked Burton Constable of valuable contents to pursue a colourful life in Italy.
