Shuttle bus services to support residents during industrial action

Hull City Council is providing three temporary shuttle bus services to support vulnerable residents during the current industrial action.

The routes provide access to transport for those residents who may find it difficult to walk to the nearest bus stop with an active bus service, helping them continue their journey on the main bus network

The free services, which run through the north, west and east of the city, begin at 10am on Monday 10 October and will run for the foreseeable future.

Because vehicle availability is limited, only three shuttle bus routes can be provided. The following routes have been chosen based on passenger usage and distance to the nearest active bus service:

  • Route 1: City Centre Link
  • Route 2: Morrison’s Circular
  • Routes 3: Spring Bank West Link

The shuttle buses will pick up passengers at the stops specified in the timetables below. The main two bus operators will continue to pick up passengers on the main network.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, Portfolio Holder for Transportation, Roads and Highways, said: “We have provided this temporary service to ensure that vulnerable residents in Hull can still access vital services and the wider transport network.

“We hope this offers some reassurance to those who may be worried about how to get around at this time.”
