A competition has been launched challenging Hull residents to take photographs of themselves or their family members being COVID-19 safe this summer.
Photos can be taken at home, in the garden, or out and about in your neighbourhood, your local park or even in the city centre. The most important thing is that you must do it safely and in line with latest guidance here.
Winners will receive as much as £100 in High Street shopping vouchers.
Possible ideas may include photos of you or your family wearing facemasks, social distancing, shopping responsibly, washing your hands, using hand sanitiser or even being tested for COVID-19. Be creative and there is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.
Pictures should be sent to Hull CC News on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, or by email to competitions@hullcc.gov.uk, or include the hashtag #covidsafehullphoto
By entering you are agreeing that Hull City Council can reuse your photo for the purpose of promoting being COVID-19 safe. The council may use the photo on its own social media channels as well as on printed materials or outdoor media if the image quality allows. By entering your photo you are agreeing that the person photographed is happy and consents to using the photograph in the ways outlined.
The closing date for entries is 12 noon, Friday 28 August.
Winning entries will be chosen by the Hull City Council Media and Marketing Team with the help of The Lord Mayor and Admiral of the Humber.
Competition winners will be notified within seven days of the closing date.
The prizes are:
1st prize £100 worth of High street shopping vouchers
2nd prize £50 worth of High street shopping vouchers
