Essential roadworks are to get under way in Sculcoates Lane from Monday 13 May.
Work will be taking place to both the pedestrian island adjacent to Abbey Road junction and the junction at Needlers Way.
Lanes will be narrowed down either side of the carriageway so traffic flow is able to continue as normal.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “To allow our contractor to carry out the work safely and swiftly, traffic management will be in place.
“We are aiming to keep the road open where possible, however there may be some disruption to traffic.
“We apologise in advance, and ask that motorists are patient whilst we carry out these essential works.”
The works will be completed by Saturday 25 May.
