Nominations have been published for this year’s local elections.
Residents can now find which candidates are standing for election in their ward.
Out of Hull’s 21 wards, one seat each in 19 wards is up for election, whilst Ings and Kingswood wards do not have local elections this year.
The local elections take place on Thursday 7 May.

Residents who are registered should now have received a polling letter giving the address of their polling station. Anyone who has very recently registered, will receive their polling card before the election.
Residents who are not registered, must do so by Monday 20 April to be able to vote in these elections. The quickest and easiest way is to apply online Register to vote – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) or contact electoral.services@hullcc.gov.uk or on 01482 613386.
Residents can also visit the Where do I vote? website and enter their postcode to check where their polling station is.
