Essential overnight resurfacing will take place on West Carr Lane from Tuesday 15 March in the latest phase of the Stoneferry improvement scheme.
The work is expected to last three nights and will be undertaken overnight from 7pm to 6am in order to minimise disruption. An additional night may be required in the event of unforeseen delays.
During these hours, West Carr Lane will be closed from Bandstand Roundabout to the entrance of the NR Burnett premises. Residents will be able to access West Carr Lane from the Stockholm Road/Copenhagen Road end, where they will be marshalled through the work site.
Councillor Dean Kirk, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways, said: “As part of the multimillion-pound Stoneferry improvement scheme, we have so far resurfaced approximately 2.11km of carriageway and 2km of footways.
“The project is currently on course for completion in late spring, after which motorists, businesses and residents in the Stoneferry area will be able to enjoy the full benefits of a much-improved road network.
“The upcoming closures will be carried out overnight in order to minimise disruption. As always, noise mitigation has been a core consideration in the selection of equipment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
