Sing Out – with Gay Abandon and The Sunday Boys

Free singing workshop for members of LGBT+ community takes place on Saturday 20 January, 11am – 5pm, at Albemarle Music Centre, Ferensway in Hull.

Members of the amazing Gay Abandon (West Yorkshire’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* choir) and Sunday Boys (Manchester’s inclusive choir for men) combine forces for a workshop day with members of Hull Rainbow Choir, and anyone from the LGBT+ community who would like to come along and sing.

The day will be led by choir leaders Michael Betteridge and Jane Edwardson, and workshop is to promote singing to the LGBT+ community in the city with a view to support and expand the Rainbow Choir in Hull. There are plans to round off the day with a series of mini performances around key venues in the city.
The workshop is about having fun singing together. All songs will be taught by ear – there is no need to read music, and no pressure to perform.
