Hull City Council will repaint road markings in North Bridge on Wednesday 10 April.
The work will begin at 9.30am and is estimated to be completed by noon.
Traffic flow will be managed manually, with barriers dropped and lifted intermittently to keep traffic moving as normally as possible.
Pedestrians and cyclists will have access as normal.
The advised alternative route for motorists is via Drypool Bridge.
