Essential repair works will take place in Bellfield Avenue from Saturday 12 until Tuesday 15 January.
Bellfield Avenue will be closed between Middlesex Road and Holderness Road, and a signed diversion route will be in place via Holderness Road, Saltshouse Road and Middlesex Road, and vice versa.
Buses that travel along this section of Bellfield Avenue will also be diverted via Ings Road and Savoy Road in both directions.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “We are carrying out the majority of these essential works during the weekend in order to minimise disruption to motorists and businesses.
“We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.”
Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
