Hull’s Registration Service is now registering births in a selection of Children’s Centres

Hull City Council’s Registration Service is now registering births from offices in Children’s Centres across Hull.

Hull City Council is asking parents to make an appointment to register their baby’s birth at their closest Children Centre, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

It is important for parents to register a baby’s birth at the earliest opportunity.  The closure of the Register Office during the lockdown period meant that was has not been possible for some parents to register within the 42-day legal time limit, however parents unable to register during this time do still need to register the birth, even if they are already in receipt of child benefit.

Birth registration appointments are now being offered from the Acorns Children Centres and Priory Children Centre, with the aim to make appointments available at The Parks Children Centre and Lemon Tree Children Centre soon. All of these sites have easy parking and this means that parents do not need to travel into the city centre to get their baby registered. Please be aware appointments will be available on selected days only and this will differ depending on the children centre selected.
