Dog-owners in self-isolation are being helped to stay safe and keep their pets happy during the coronavirus pandemic.
A series of community hubs has been set up by Hull City Council alongside the voluntary sector to offer advice and help to residents who may not have other support.
The hubs have provided help to pick up shopping, collect medication, give money advice and provide someone to talk.
And requests have included dog-walking help – with 23 canines currently being walked by volunteers at the hub.

Volunteer Sita Douglas regularly walks Sandy the pug. Sandy’s elderly owner is self-isolating, which means both dog and owner were missing their routine walks.
Sita said: “Sandy is a really sweet girl and quite a character. She loves people – and has to be reminded about social distancing when we are out.
“I’m pleased I can help with exercising her because she is a much-loved dog and a great comfort to her owner while he is confined to home.”
