The Bubbles and Balloons Science Show is just one of the free events going on this Easter in Hull Museums' Science Spectacular.

Space things up this Easter with Hull Museums’ free Science Spectacular!

Budding young scientists are invited to get involved in a celebration of science at the Museums Quarter during the Easter holidays.

Hull Museums have teamed up with the University of Hull, Explorer Dome, Science Made Simple, and more for an exciting 2-day Science Spectacular packed full of free bookable and drop in activities for all the family to enjoy.

Ever wondered if it’s possible to build Iron Man’s Suit? Or how superheroes fly? These are some of the questions the University of Hull and their Superhero Science Show will look to answer. While the Science of Sport Show will invite you to limber up and get involved as they explore how we balance, what happens when a ball bounces and why things that spin are so important in sport.

The Explorer Dome, ‘The Wonder of Space’ science show will see visitors discover a world of planets, stars, galaxies, and black holes, explore the life and death of stars and discuss the future of transport and human space travel!

As well as free ticketed science shows, there will be a host of free drop-in activities including the paper plane challenge, fossil making fun, the science of wind energy, and science busker David Price.

Jane Avison, Museums and Gallery Manager said: “Science plays a huge role in our lives from where our energy comes from to how we travel. Hull Museums are pleased to present this fun filled event making science fun and accessible, inspiring scientists of the future. Thanks to the generous support we receive from Arts Council England and the contributions of our partners, we are proud to keep these amazing events free in these challenging times.”

The Science Spectacular will take place at the Museums Quarter on Tuesday 19 April and Wednesday 20 April from 10.00am-4.00pm.
