Julia Weldon, Director of Public Health:

“I am proud to be a director in Hull, and it is important to have a gender balance in our senior leadership team.

“My journey from nurse training to being a Corporate Director  in Hull has been underpinned by having coaching and mentoring from some exceptional women who gave generously of themselves to enable me to grow and develop and have the confidence and competence to aspire to be the best I could be.

“I want all women and girls to have the opportunity to dream big and not be hampered by stereotype or held back as a result of gender inequality. I now try and offer my support and guidance just as generously to the women who are our future leaders and directors.”
