Spring Bank West is now back open to traffic, two days earlier than predicted, following repair work by Yorkshire Water.
The road was closed following a burst of a main strategic pipe last week.
Phil Elbourne, Yorkshire Water manager of field operations, said: “The burst caused a huge amount of damage and I would like to praise the work of our teams to isolate the main safely and get customer supplies back on so quickly.
“We certainly understand the frustration which is caused by a road closure and would like to thank residents for their patience.”
