Those with an interest in construction, whether as a learner, employer or industry partner, are invited to Hull Training and Adult Education’s (HTAE) demonstration day this summer.
HTAE will host an innovation day at its Construction Centre on Nursery Grove in partnership with leading buildings manufacturer weinerberger UK & Ireland.
The day will bring together apprentices, employers and industry partners to explore sustainable building methods and emerging construction technologies.
Throughout the day, wienerberger’s construction team will deliver live demonstrations of its Eco-Brick and Porotherm systems, giving attendees the opportunity to see modern construction methods in practice, showcasing how they are evolving to improve efficiency, sustainability and building performance.
Representatives from wienerberger’s solar team will also be in attendance to discuss developments in renewable technologies and their growing role within the construction sector.
The event forms part of HTAE’s commitment to ensuring learners gain industry-relevant experience and exposure to current construction practices.
Cllr Linda Tock, portfolio holder for Hull Training at Hull City Council, said: “Events like this help to demonstrate the wide range of services which HTAE provides, including how they are supporting industries to adapt to modern methods and focused on sectors vital to our city.
“It’s a great opportunity for prospective apprentices to learn more about the industry, whilst also helping to grow HTAE’s provision with potential new partners and employers.”
The event, supported by Hobson & Porter, will take place on Thursday 20 August from 1-3pm at The Construction Centre on Nursery Grove off Portobello Street, HU9 5XT.

There is also a morning session from 10am to 12 noon for Further Education learners and vocational trainers, with Further Education establishments able to register their interest via Eco Bricks Demonstration & Training
