The main pool at Albert Avenue Pools will reopen on Monday 10 August.
Swimmers will be able to pre-book hourly sessions and lifeguards will be on hand to assist visitors with the safe use of the pool. Family bookings will be allocated an area of the pool. Booking will be available from Saturday for members and Sunday for non-members.
Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “We know how much residents have missed our swimming pools so I’m delighted we are able to reopen the main pool at Albert Avenue next week.
“Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes to make our leisure centres safe for all users and the new pre-booking service for all activities has been an essential part of that.
“We understand things may look a little different and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding whilst we adjust to these changes.”
Due to the Government’s Covid-19 guidelines, visitors are asked to arrive wearing swimwear under clothing, respect socially distanced queueing systems and use the hand sanitising systems across the building.
Changing facilities will not be available for use, as they will be reserved for swimmers only.
Pay-as-you-go customers will need to set up an online pay-as you-go membership to enable them to pre-book sessions. Regular members can book sessions up to 48 hours in advance and pay-as-you-go members up to 24 hours in advance, online booking will go live from Saturday 8 August.
You can pre-book swimming sessions here.
