Argyle Street and Stanley Street will undergo improvements to provide a smooth ride for road users.
The works are needed due to the carriageway deteriorating and it will provide a safe and skid resistant surface.
They are scheduled to begin on Monday 10th July and are expected to take around one week to complete.
Resurfacing on Argyle Street will take place first and will be on the bridge between the Londesborough Street junction and the pelican crossing, whilst Stanley Street will be improved around the Morton Street junctions.
Cllr Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways at Hull City Council, said: “These works are essential to repair the road surfaces which have fallen into poor condition.
“The council is focused on ensuring its roads are safe and we know that Hull’s road users will welcome the smooth new surfaces once they are completed.”
Road closures will be in place between overnight between 8:30pm and 6:30am and diversions will be in place via Anlaby Road, Park Street and Londesborough Street.
The programme will be funded by Hull City Council’s Capital Programme and carried out by CR Reynolds Ltd.
