Polls now open for Hull’s local elections

Residents across Hull have the opportunity to go to the polls today in the city council local elections.

Elections are taking place in 19 of Hull’s 21 wards today. Kingswood and Ings wards do not have local elections.

Polling stations are open until 10pm today (Thursday 7 May) and voters will be required to bring a valid form of photographic ID or a Voter Authority Certificate in order to cast their vote. Valid forms of ID can be found here.

The count of the local election will take place immediately after polls close in the Guildhall, with results expected in the early hours of Friday (8 May).
