The popular Queen Victoria Square fountains will return on Monday 9 August.
The fountains were turned off during lockdown in accordance with public health guidance.
Councillor Daren Hale, leader of Hull City Council, said: “I’m delighted that the Queen Victoria Square fountains will soon be back on. They are a popular and much-loved attraction, especially during the summer months.”
“The city centre is thriving, with the addition of many fantastic new businesses and events, such as the Hull Kraken, grabbing everyone’s attention. The return of the fountains is more great news for the city centre.”
The Queen Victoria Square fountains have undergone essential maintenance work this week.
The fountains are one of many water-based attractions in the city, which are incredibly popular during the summer months.
Many of the city’s parks include splash pads that offer a mixture of different play features and fountains including rooster tails, geysers, ground gushers and spray caps. Last month the splash pad in East Park reopened following a £850,000 refurbishment.
The Queen Victoria Square fountains were part of the £28m regeneration work to the city centre’s public realm in 2017.
