Plans have been approved for a new modern apartment building with a roof terrace, gym and cinema in Hull city centre.
The plans, green-lit at a meeting of Hull City Council planning committee today, will allow a five-floor extension to the east side of Burnett House on the corner of Castle Street and Market Place.
They will see the creation of 30 flats, roof terrace, cinema, gym and car parking on the plot, near to vacant King William public house.

The ground floor would be used for car parking, with access off Vicars Lane, plus a small gym and cinema room for residents of the building.
The site is within the Old Town Conservation Area, near to Hull Minster and the King William Statue.
