A change-of-use planning application for The Barrow Boys bar in Hull Marina has been approved.
The retrospective application was for permission to change the ground floor from a restaurant to a mixed-use restaurant and bar.
The application was recommended for refusal after Environment Agency officers said plans for the venue “did not comply with requirements for site-specific flood risk assessments”.
But the plan was approved at a meeting of Hull City Council’s planning committee on Wednesday.
Opening hours at the bar have been restricted until 11.30pm every night.
