A song recorded in Hull will reach the UK top 40 and raise money for disadvantaged children this Christmas if campaigners get their way.
The charity Christmas song called A Winter’s Dream will be released on Friday 6 December.
Written and recorded in the city, the song features Hull singer Jessika Mae alongside “The Thousand Voices” – a name given to more than 1,000 school children from the region who appear on the track.

It is hoped is the track will make it into the UK’s Christmas Top 40, raising money for disadvantaged children in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.
In September, Hull’s Bonus Arena challenged the city to write and record a Christmas song to raise money for the appeal.
Hull Daily Mail’s Star Search winner Jessika Mae offered to lead the project.
Recorded and mastered at Element Studios in Hull, the finished track features school choirs as well as the almost 400-strong All for One community choir, with vocal arrangements by Helen Garnett.
The song costs 99p to download, with 100 per cent of the price going to support children and young people living in poverty in the local area.
Jessika Mae said: “When I heard about this campaign I was eager to get involved and help. It has been so much fun and I am very confident that this song will raise lots of money for this wonderful cause.”
A Winter’s Dream by The Thousand Voices and Jessika Mae is available to pre-order from digital music download stores including Amazon Music, iTunes and Google Play Music. Its final chart position will be determined on Friday 13 December.
A crowdfunding page has also been set up to support the push.
