Essential roadworks in Bricknell Avenue will get under way next week.
Resurfacing works begin in the road in west Hull from Monday 8 to Friday 12 April.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “To allow our contractor to carry out the work safely and swiftly, a road closure will be in place.
“We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of works, and ask that motorists are patient whilst we carry out these essential repairs.”
The signed diversion route for motorists is via Hull Road, Cottingham Road and Fairfax Avenue.
Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services.
