Hull’s swimmers are being invited to have their say on how £4.7m should be spent on improving the city’s swimming pools.
The investment follows the £8m that was spent on the refurbishment of Woodford Leisure Centre, which reopened last year with the addition of two new pools as well as brand new gym and changing facilities.
A series of local public consultation events will be held at Albert Avenue baths and Beverley Road baths over the coming months. The first is taking place on Friday (8 March) at Albert Avenue.
Members of the public will be able to see and comment on plans that include the reopening of the lido for swimmers at Albert Avenue baths. The lido was last used for public swimming in the early 1990s.
Other plans for Albert Avenue include the closure of the small indoor pool, with the space being re-used for an expanded gym.
