Humber Street Sesh, the annual music festival on Hull Marina, will not go ahead this year.
The large-scale event, which provides a platform for emerging musicians and artists, was cancelled last year.
Organisers today announced that due to “difficulties” and “obstacles” they have been forced to cancel this year’s event – but they have promised that they will be back in 2022.
Festival organisers, Sesh Events, had planned to put the event on in September 2021.
Dave Mays, festival site director, said: “The potential loss of significant areas of the site would decimate the festival. We would not be able to deliver the Humber Street Sesh that people know and love”
Festival directors, Dave Mays, Mark Page and Justine Peacock, said: “Faced with insurmountable obstacles and difficulties, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to pull the event this year.”
Mark Page said: “It is heart-breaking that we are unable to deliver our much-loved community festival this year, particularly for the musicians, artists and production who have missed live performance so much in recent times but mark my words – we will be back.”
Humber Street Sesh ticket holders who booked via See Tickets, Gigantic and Hull Theatres (Hull Culture and Leisure) will receive a refund in due course.
