Residents across the UK can now vote in the UK Parliamentary Election as polls open.
In Hull there are three constituencies – Kingston Upon Hull East, Kingston Upon Hull West and Haltemprice and Kingston Upon Hull North and Cottingham, that residents will have the opportunity to vote in.

Polling stations are open until 10pm today (Thursday 4 July) and voters will be required to bring a valid form of photographic ID or a Voter Authority Certificate in order to cast their vote. Valid forms of ID can be found here.
The count of the local election will take place immediately after polls close in the Guildhall, with results expected in the early hours of Friday (5 July).
