Council leader’s message to businesses: “We can only protect our city and residents by continuing to work together”

Hull City Council is contacting businesses explaining how it can help mitigate risks and offer support in response to cases of Covid-19.

Councillor Stephen Brady, leader of Hull City Council, has highlighted the importance of the businesses sector taking appropriate action and working with the local authority in order to protect the city and residents.

He said: “From the very start, the battle against Covid-19 has been a collective one and we can only protect our city and residents by continuing to work together.

“Hull City Council can offer support and advice to businesses with cases of Covid-19. The most vital thing is that businesses inform us immediately of any cases so that, together, we can take appropriate and swift action.”

Businesses can report cases to the Hull City Council’s Public Protection Team by sending an e-mail to – FoodandHealth&Safety@hullcc.gov.uk

The Government has put together Actions Cards containing advice for specific businesses and sectors on how to manage a possible outbreak. These Action Cards are available here.
