Essential overnight resurfacing will take place in Stoneferry Road from Thursday 3 March in the latest phase of the Stoneferry improvement scheme.
The work is expected to last about a week and will be undertaken overnight from 7pm to 6am in order to minimise disruption. There will be no work on Saturday/Sunday nights.
During the work, Stoneferry Road will be closed southbound between Bandstand Roundabout and Ferry Lane roundabout, with signed diversion routes in place.
Residents will be able to access Glebe Road, Foredyke Avenue and Rievaulx Court from Bandstand Roundabout. Exit will be via Foredyke Avenue, where signed diversions will be in place (see diagram below).
Councillor Dean Kirk, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways, said: “As part of the multimillion-pound Stoneferry improvement scheme, we have so far resurfaced approximately 2.11km of carriageway and 2km of footways.
“The project is currently on course for completion in late spring, after which motorists, businesses and residents in the Stoneferry area will be able to enjoy the full benefits of a much-improved road network.
“The upcoming closures will be carried out overnight in order to minimise disruption. As always, noise mitigation has been a core consideration in the selection of equipment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The current overnight work to resurface Ferry Lane roundabout is due to finish by the morning of March 3.
