Happy New Year! With Christmas now in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to look forward to some of the fantastic things happening in Hull this January.

Candlelight Concert – A tribute to Coldplay on strings

Hull Minster, Friday 10 January

Hull Minster hosts regular ‘candlelight’ concerts honouring some of the world’s most renowned artists, films and TV shows.

Fittingly, Candlelight is kicking off 2025 with a nod to Coldplay, who are heading to Hull this summer as part of their World Tour.

Polar Bear Jazz Club

Polar Bear Music Club, Saturday 25 January

Some of the finest regional jazz talent join an in-house jazz band for a special night of music on Spring Bank in Hull.

If brave enough, you are even invited to bring your own instrument and join in!

Echoes Of Our Heritage and Seen & Unseen

January is your last chance to see two fantastic exhibitions – Echoes Of Our Heritage (Wilberforce House Museum) and Seen & Unseen (Ferens Art Gallery).

Jason Manford is back on the road with his brand-new live show, A Manford All Seasons.

Art of Andalucia – Flamenco Dance

Hull Truck Theatre, Saturday 25 January

Following the success of his first two productions, which have captivated more than 80,000 audience members across the UK, Ireland, and Germany in the last two years, Daniel Martinez returns with a new show that places flamenco dance at the forefront.
