Major roadworks are set to get under way in Wymersley and Wold Road from Monday 4 March.
The work will be split into four phases over 10 weeks.
Road closures will be in place on the following dates:
- Phase one: 4 March-1 April, Wymersley Road
- Phase two: 1 April-22 April, Wold Road (County Road South to Hotham Road South)
- Phase three: 22 April-13 May, Wold Road (Hotham Road South to Wymersley Road)
- Phase four: one day only, Wold Road/Hotham Road South
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “Repairing worn road surfaces is a major priority for the council and these works demonstrate our commitment to improving the city’s infrastructure for Hull residents, motorists and visitors.
“Unfortunately, these closures are essential, so that the works can be carried out efficiently in order to improve the condition of the road, and ensure the highway provides a safe and even surface for traffic movement.
“We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.”
Access for Wold Primary School, residents, pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Bus services will also be rerouted for the duration of the works. During phase one, Wymersley Road bus services 33, 34 and 35 will not run on Wymersley Road, turning at the Wold Road/Wymersley Road junction and heading back down Wold Road.
And during phases two, three and four, bus services 33, 34 and 35 will operate from Willerby Road to Wymersley Road, turning at the junction with Wold Road and returning back along Wymersley Road. School buses will remain unaffected.
