Hull Training and Adult Education (HTAE) are inviting aspiring apprentices to come along to an open event to mark National Apprenticeship Week.
The Meet the Employer Apprenticeship Open Event takes place on Thursday 9 February from 4pm – 6pm at the Employment Hub, based in the Hull Central Library on Albion Street.
The free event is open to anyone interested in finding an apprenticeship in engineering, construction or business. No booking is required.
It will offer attendees a chance to meet highly respected future employers from these sectors, including the Swift Group Ltd and Beal Homes.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a yearly event which shines a light on the achievements of apprentices around the country and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy. It’s also an opportunity to talk about some of the fantastic apprenticeships on offer in our city.
Apprenticeships are worth considering as they offer training and hands-on experience while earning a salary from day one.
Councillor Paul Drake-Davis, portfolio holder for regeneration at Hull City Council, said: “Apprenticeships offer a young person a valuable working experience, which can unlock new career paths and a chance to learn important new skills. I hope young people in Hull will take up this chance to speak to some of our city’s best and biggest employers and learn about what’s on offer to them.”
